Love is on Its Way

The day I had been waiting for finally came Friday: Jonas Brothers The 3D Concert Experience. Concert Experience it was. We showed up to the theater about an hour and a half early and sat outside the theater singing songs and having an all around good time. Radio Disney was there and gave us all mini promo posters. We finally got into the theater a little before 6. We were the first ones there, followed by a small group of teen girls, probably about 15 or 16. I was expecting a lot of people to show up early. Until about 6:30 we were probably the only people in there. I tried getting the crowd pumped up, but no one, besides us and the girls behind us, seemed too excited to be there. The lights dimmed and FINALLY the crowd got excited. I was pretty upset though. For a theather that was supposedly"sold out" there were too many empty seats. My best guess is that they wanted to have some crowd control because they told us we couldn't stand during the movie. They said it was so the people behind us could see. Stadium seating is staggered so people can see over each other, so I don't think not seeing was the problem. I'm fully convinced it was crowd control. Anyway...back to the movie.

Lights dimmed and the movie started. SPOILER ALERT don't read any further if you don't want to ruin it.

Big Rob goes through waking all the guys up. 4:30 AM! That alone made me appriciate everything they do for the fans even more. The late nights and early mornings they put in just for us. Thanks guys! Joe has a bit of comedy act, pulling an earthquake prank and shaking the table while Kevin's trying to read through the schedule for the day.

The chase scene was cute, but it seemed very scripted. I would have perferred to see it as it happened. As true to life as that might be, an unscripted version would have been better in my opinion.

Now, for someone who has never had the joy of going to a JB Concert, I thought that the live concert scenes were really good. I liked watching this part more than I did the real life stuff. The guys really do put on a good show, and I can't wait until I have the chance to see them live. We sang along and clapped to every song. I seriously felt like I was at a concert. Every time one of the boys came on screen or began singing, the girls would yell. I had my teenie moment watching Nick play drums. It was pretty awful, or awesome, depending on how you look at it.

The duets with Demi & Taylor were really good. When Taylor came on screen we all yelled "AWKWARD!" at the top of our lungs and then proceeded to change the lyrics to "Should've Said No". I kinda got the feeling that none of us in the group liked Camilla. Sorry Joe! We love you guys, but we don't like her, or what happened between you and Taylor. New lyrics:

Joe should've said NO
He should've gone home
He should've thought twice before he let it all go
He should've known that word
'bout what he did with her would get back to to Taylor (gotta say it fast!)
And she should've been there in the back of his mind
She shouldn't be asking herself why
He shouldn't be begging for forgiveness at her feet
He should've said NO and he might still have her.

I loved the part were Taylor sings "Was it worth it? Was she worth this?" and Joe sings all the "No No No" just knowing what happens in retrospect made us all laugh. Don't get mad, we all love Joe, we were just having some fun.

I don't think words are necessary....

Take the screaming heard here and multiply by about 1,000,000 and you would have a pretty good idea of what the theater actually sounded like.

The guys had a brand new song in the movie "Love is on Its Way".So, it may have been a bit cheesy, but I thought it was cute and I love the song.

I would have loved for it to go on longer and had a few more personal scenes, but overall I came away feeling like I had actually been to a Jonas Brothers concert. It just makes me so much more excited for the tour dates to be posted and to go to a show this summer. It might not have hit number 1 or gotten great reviews from the critics, but the fans are loving it and I think that's all that matters to the boys. They seem to be having fun jetting from coast to coast and seeing the reaction of fans. That's all that matters to me.

Love,
Jen
