Midnight Madness...

This was the first trio I fell in love with. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are my childhood. I remember when the first book came out when I was in the fourth grade and Mrs. Farmer would read it to us after lunch recess. By the time Prisoner of Azkaban was out, everyone had their own copy and was reading ahead. In fifth grade I dressed up as Hermione for Halloween (caldron, broom, cape...) and won a costume contest at the local library. I saw all the movies the weekend they came out at the local 2 cinema theater. It wasn't until the last 5 years that I got wrapped up in the midnight madness of book releases and premieres.

Last night was the release of the 6th installment of the Harry Potter movie franchise: The Half Blood Prince. Sara came over about 2 and we went to the theater to pick up our tickets and then she came back over to the house to hang out. We took some pictures...

and some...well they just speak for themselves...


Some people might call us crazy, but we left for the theater (which is like an 8 minute drive from my house) at 9:30 P.M. on Tuesday night. Totally worth it though, we ended up being the first people in line! :D All my friends from church were the second group to show up for the night. We had our own little party at the front of the theater.





Finally got in the theater (the big one with the curved screen) and the movie started. I know the movie can't be just like the book, but the scenes picked and the story line for this film were supurb. It flowed very well. The actors did a great job with the character development and portraying the changes that they were experiencing in the book. I was very proud of Dan, Ruper, Emma, Bonnie, & Tom. All my favorite scenes were there along with my favorite lines. Definitely a must see for any Potter fan, as well as those that aren't. Sara's not the biggest Potter nerd, and she really enjoyed it.

It's extremely late, and I'm running on very few hours of sleep right now, so it's off to bed for me.
